The US Army has selected Neros Technologies as one of the top three suppliers for its Purpose-Built Attritable Systems (PBAS) program, designed to deliver tactical unmanned aerial systems to small, platoon-level combat units. The contract reinforces Neros’ growing reputation as a leader in combat-proven drone innovation and attritable UAS design.
Neros’ contribution to the PBAS program includes multiple variants of its Archer drone, available in 5-inch, 8-inch, and 10-inch configurations. The versatile system supports precision strike payloads, capable of hitting targets more than 20 kilometers away, while its reconnaissance variants integrate advanced optical and electronic sensors for real-time intelligence gathering.
The firm will also provide its Flatbow system, an upgraded and portable version of the Crossbow Ground Control System. Built to withstand electronic interference, Flatbow enhances drone control in contested electromagnetic environments, ensuring reliable operations during high-intensity missions.
According to Neros, the PBAS selection is the culmination of two years of testing and collaboration with the US and Ukrainian armed forces. Founded in 2023, the company has already raised over $120 million in funding, including a recent $75-million round led by Sequoia Capital. This investment will drive production scale-up, bolster a secure US-based supply chain, and fund continued research into next-generation autonomous drone systems tailored for military applications.
