Israeli counter-drone specialist ParaZero Technologies has announced its first DefendAir system sale to a leading Israeli defense customer, signaling increased operational adoption of its net-based counter-UAS technology. The contract underscores the accelerating focus on drone defense solutions as unmanned systems become a dominant threat in contemporary conflicts.
The DefendAir C-UAS system is designed to neutralize enemy drones with minimal collateral damage, using a net to capture targets mid-air rather than relying on kinetic or explosive effects. Under the agreement, ParaZero will deliver multiple DefendAir units alongside system integration and training services, supporting rapid deployment and operational use by the customer.
ParaZero stated that the Israeli defense customer is strengthening its counter-drone posture to address the growing use of UAVs against ground forces and critical assets. The award builds on a series of recent international engagements, including contracts with global defense companies and demonstrations conducted for NATO and German defense authorities in late 2025.
The DefendAir system offers flexible deployment options, including airborne interception drones, fixed turrets, and portable launchers. With an operational range of up to 100 meters and modular net sizes, the system can be adapted for various mission profiles. Additional integration of radar, RF detection, and command-and-control systems further enhances detection, tracking, and engagement effectiveness across complex operational environments.
