In a significant advancement for European defense robotics, Croatian manufacturer DOK-ING and Slovenian defense firm Valhalla have announced a collaboration to create a new generation of unmanned ground systems. The project merges autonomous mobility platforms with short-range air defense technology, setting a new standard for integrated battlefield robotics.

The innovative platform was unveiled during the SIDEC defense exhibition, featuring the combination of DOK-ING’s MV-8 Komodo robotic vehicle and Valhalla’s Mangart 25 AD remote-controlled weapon station. This pairing enables a high degree of operational flexibility, allowing the system to perform counter-drone, combat support, and anti-armor missions with precision.

The Komodo-Mangart configuration is designed to enhance troop survivability by offering remote-controlled firepower and autonomous defensive capabilities, minimizing exposure to hostile environments. The modular setup supports real-time targeting, C-UAS engagement, and mobile protection, making it suitable for a range of tactical missions.

Both firms emphasized that the project demonstrates regional defense innovation and interoperability. With the increasing demand for AI-driven, unmanned, and modular military systems, the Croatia-Slovenia collaboration positions the Komodo-based combat robot as a potential export solution for future NATO and EU defense programs.
