GA-ASI, the company behind famous drones like Predator® and MQ-9B, has officially launched PELE, a new compact drone designed for versatile applications across global defense sectors.
PELE, standing for Precision Exportable Launched Effect, channels the strength of its namesake, Pele, and is equipped with an 11-foot wingspan and 16-horsepower engine. The small UAV is designed to serve as a forward-sensing extension of mothership aircraft and can also be deployed from the ground.
The drone pairs especially well with the MQ-9B SkyGuardian®, enabling extended mission endurance, better threat detection, and increased flexibility in varied operational theaters.
