Amid growing tensions with China, the Taiwanese Navy has ordered exploding drones made in the country to improve its aerial strike capabilities. The National Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology (NCSIST) built the drones, which are presently undergoing final certification tests under the name Loitering Munition 1.The drones are equipped with high-explosive warheads that are intended to destroy armored vehicles, enemy people, and other valuable targets.
