The UK, Italy, and Japan have formed a joint venture to build a next-generation supersonic fighter by 2035, intended to replace the Eurofighter Typhoon. Each country will contribute equally through BAE Systems, Leonardo, and Japan Aircraft Industrial Enhancement Co.
