The 24th and last Rafale fighter plane has been handed to the Hellenic Air Force’s Tanagra air base by French company Dassault Aviation. The single-seat aircraft was greeted by Greece’s 332nd Squadron, which will now join the nation’s fleet of combat aircraft, which also includes the upcoming F-35 Lightning II fighter jets and F-16s in various variants.Following a 2.5-billion euro ($2.5-billion) agreement signed in January 2021 to buy 18 Rafales, this most recent delivery is a part of a March 2022 contract for Athens to acquire six more new Rafales.
