Airbus has been awarded a contract to supply two more A330 MRTT aircraft to NATO, boosting the alliance’s Multinational MRTT Fleet (MMF) to 12 aircraft in total. Deliveries are planned for 2028 and 2029.

The procurement follows Sweden and Denmark’s formal entry into the MMF program, a NATO-led initiative aimed at pooling strategic airlift and refueling capabilities among member countries. The program now includes eight participating nations.

Airbus will carry out production and aircraft conversion activities for the new platforms at its Toulouse and Getafe sites, reinforcing its role in supporting NATO’s expanding air mobility operations.
