Bell Textron has selected Marotta Controls to develop an advanced power inverter for the U.S. Army’s Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft, known as the MV-75. The inverter will provide stable, high-efficiency power to the aircraft’s critical electronic and flight systems while minimizing weight and energy loss — key factors for next-generation military aviation platforms.

Marotta stated that this partnership marks its first collaboration with Bell Textron and its debut in DC-to-AC power conversion solutions for rotorcraft applications. The company’s role underscores the growing demand for compact, energy-optimized power systems in modern defense aircraft.

The MV-75, spanning approximately 51 feet (16 meters), is Bell’s cutting-edge tiltrotor designed to succeed the U.S. Army’s Black Hawk and Apache helicopters. Combining vertical lift and airplane-like speed, the aircraft will enable extended range and higher payload capacity, delivering faster troop transport and greater mission flexibility across future battlefields.
