Lockheed Martin has been tapped to support the US Air Force’s fleet of C-5M Super Galaxy aircraft through a $56-million logistics and maintenance contract.
This contract plays a role in a larger project to revamp the aircraft’s avionics, improving their functionality and mission response times.
The goal is to preserve the operational efficiency of strategic lift commands such as the Air Mobility Command, which handles global reach missions, and the Air Force Reserve.
