Lockheed Martin and Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on June 17 during the 2025 Paris Air Show, further expanding their multi-decade partnership. The latest agreement extends their collaboration to rotorcraft manufacturing, next-generation air platforms, space technologies, uncrewed aerial systems, crewed-uncrewed teaming solutions, training systems, and sustainment operations.

This MoU, signed by Lockheed Martin COO Frank St. John and KAI CEO Goo-young Kang, builds on over 30 years of cooperation, which began with the F-16 production partnership and grew to include the T-50 advanced trainer, FA-50 light fighter, KF-21 multirole platform, and logistics support projects.

Lockheed Martin and KAI are now actively identifying new opportunities to expand their joint efforts, including current export campaigns for the T-50 and FA-50, particularly in support of the U.S. Navy’s Undergraduate Jet Training System.
