India’s Ministry of Defence has signed a $1.5 billion agreement with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) to manufacture 12 Su-30MKI fighter jets for the Indian Air Force. This contract helps replenish the current fleet, which stands at 259 aircraft out of an authorized 272. The new jets will be built domestically, strengthening India’s air combat capability and supporting the government’s indigenous production goals
