An African customer has contracted with Embraer to purchase four A-29 Super Tucano light attack and trainer aircraft. The aircraft will be used for “a wide spectrum” of operations, such as intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance throughout the nation’s territory, close air support, advanced flying training, and counterinsurgency.According to the Brazilian manufacturer, the acquisition places the military customer as the sixth Super Tucano operator in Africa.
