Brazil has rolled out its first locally produced Gripen E fighter, assembled at Embraer’s Gavião Peixoto plant. Developed with Saab, the jet is part of a broader agreement involving technology transfer and domestic manufacturing. Following evaluation trials, it will join the Brazilian Air Force fleet. This initiative highlights Brazil’s efforts to build a self-reliant defense industry and reduce dependence on foreign production.
