Collins Aerospace, a business unit of RTX, has finalized three-year agreements to expand and strengthen support services for C-130 Hercules aircraft wheels and brakes, as part of broader efforts to sustain the globally operated transport platform. The agreements involve Integrated Procurement Technologies, S3 AeroDefense, and Derco, covering long-term logistics and component support.

The contracts focus on ensuring consistent hardware availability, streamlined logistics, and lifecycle sustainment, helping operators maintain high readiness levels. According to Collins Aerospace, the arrangements are expected to significantly improve supply reliability and maintenance efficiency for C-130 fleets operating in demanding environments.

The company’s DURACARB-equipped wheels and brakes are already fielded on tens of thousands of aircraft across both commercial and defense sectors. For U.S. and allied military users, uninterrupted access to these systems is critical for sustaining strategic airlift, tactical transport, humanitarian relief, and expeditionary operations worldwide.

C-130 sustainment initiatives are being reinforced through complementary government and industry actions. Earlier this year, Derco was awarded a Defense Logistics Agency performance-based contract to improve spare parts management and engineering support for the Hercules fleet. Meanwhile, U.S. foreign military assistance programs continue to bolster partner air forces, including the transfer of a C-130H transport aircraft to the Philippine Air Force in early 2024, enhancing regional air mobility and disaster response capacity.
