As part of its fleet renewal program, the Tokyo Fire Department has procured an Airbus H225 helicopter through a competitive tender. This acquisition will replace an aging aircraft and bolster the department’s commitment to operational efficiency across a range of essential services including search and rescue, aerial firefighting, disaster response, and emergency medical care. The H225 is designed to support urgent operations with enhanced speed and accuracy.

The helicopter features a built-in search and rescue system for rapid target detection and is outfitted with emergency stretchers to provide immediate medical aid mid-flight. Its belly-mounted water tank gives it substantial firefighting power from the air, crucial for fast reaction to emergency fires.
