GE Aerospace has been given a $5 billion contract by the US Air Force to produce F110-GE-129 engines for military sales abroad. Since its 1992 launch, the F110-GE-129 engine has powered combat aircraft used by worldwide allies, including the F-15 Eagle and F-16 Fighting Falcon.In order to “meet the evolving needs of allied operators,” the company will collaborate with the military to provide the solution, spare parts, and related services.
