The AAROK drone, created by Turgis Gaillard and revealed at the 2023 Paris Air Show, is the first MALE-class drone to be fully developed in France. Specifically engineered for ISR roles in high-intensity combat scenarios and maritime surveillance missions, AAROK represents a significant milestone in French drone capabilities.
Thales’s AirMaster S radar was selected to equip the drone, offering combat-proven performance both domestically and in international operations. The radar’s prior success aboard France’s ATL2 maritime patrol aircraft, combined with its suitability for integration on MALE drones, made it the optimal solution for the AAROK’s advanced mission needs.
