Babcock will continue supporting the Royal Canadian Navy’s Victoria-class submarines after securing a contract extension that reinforces its long-standing partnership with Canada’s naval forces. The agreement provides six additional years of sustainment services while allowing continued support until the submarines reach the end of their operational lives. The company will maintain responsibility for engineering, maintenance, logistics, and fleet availability, helping ensure the submarines remain mission-ready during the transition to future undersea platforms. Over nearly twenty years of collaboration, Babcock has built a strong Canadian supply chain, developed specialized submarine maintenance expertise, and created significant economic benefits across the country. The program has contributed billions of dollars to the national economy while supporting hundreds of domestic suppliers and thousands of skilled jobs. By working with universities, Indigenous communities, and Canadian businesses, Babcock has also strengthened Canada’s sovereign defense industry and technical workforce, positioning the country for future submarine modernization efforts.
