The US Air Force has selected Leidos for a $454.9-million contract aimed at upgrading and expanding the capabilities of the Cloud One platform. This secure cloud environment supports numerous military applications used across the service. Through partnerships with major cloud providers including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, the modernization effort will focus on strengthening cyber defenses and streamlining the management of digital infrastructure. Automation tools will also be introduced to simplify operations and reduce administrative complexity. The improvements are expected to help Air Force units transition their software systems and operational data to the cloud more effectively while maintaining strong security standards. Ultimately, the program will enhance digital readiness and provide personnel with faster access to modern cloud-based technologies.
