Anduril has been selected by Saab to produce solid rocket motors (SRMs) for the Ground-Launched Small Diameter Bomb (GLSDB), a system developed in collaboration with Boeing. The new motors are set to replace the M26 rocket motors used in earlier launch systems, offering improved safety standards and streamlined production.

With the goal of entering full-rate production by 2026, Anduril has initiated development and qualification efforts. A $75 million investment is being directed toward expanding the company’s facility in McHenry, Mississippi, which is expected to be fully operational in the coming month to meet rising demand for SRMs.

This manufacturing scale-up is supported by a $14.3 million grant through the Defense Production Act and will include automation upgrades to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Additionally, Anduril recently completed a successful static test fire of a 21-inch hypersonic rocket motor, developed for use in the U.S. Navy’s Standard Missile program.
