AeroVironment is expanding the capabilities of its Halo mission software by introducing a powerful new training ecosystem and an AI-driven intelligence suite built to support modern military operations. The enhanced platform leverages automated data processing and global information feeds, giving commanders and operators faster and more accurate insights into evolving battlefield environments.
Central to the update is the MENTOR VR training module, which uses AV’s advanced virtual reality technology to immerse soldiers in realistic combat scenarios. The digitally created environments enable personnel to practice maneuvering, engagement tactics, and mission execution without requiring physical training ranges or live ammunition.
The MENTOR system supports hands-on training for widely used tactical weapons including the Stinger, Javelin, Igla, and other portable air-defense and anti-armor systems. Through virtual training sessions, troops can safely refine their weapon handling, targeting skills, and engagement procedures, significantly boosting unit readiness while minimizing operational risk and training expenses.
