India has strengthened its air defence network with the induction of the 55Zh6ME Nebo-UM VHF radar, a next-generation surveillance system designed to detect stealth aircraft, missiles, and other aerial threats at long distances. The radar’s VHF technology gives it an advantage against low-observable aircraft by using longer wavelengths that can identify targets that may be difficult for conventional radars to detect. Its mobile design, advanced digital processing, and 3D tracking capability improve battlefield awareness and early-warning response. By integrating with India’s wider missile defence network, the Nebo-UM provides valuable targeting information and strengthens the country’s ability to counter future air threats.
