A US-led multinational training effort, the Joint Multinational Training Group–Ukraine (JMTG-U), has completed a live-fire demonstration with the Skydio X10 Delta drone. The exercise, held at Grafenwoehr Training Area in Germany, saw 117 M67 fragmentation grenades released using the Army’s Audible dropper system, a new technology intended to provide troops with more accurate aerial munition delivery.

The trial was conducted by JMTG-U’s UAV Innovation Team, which tested and refined the dropper system to improve operational reliability and ensure it can withstand real-world battlefield conditions. This effort reflects Washington’s push to integrate drone-based precision strike options into partner training programs while supporting Ukraine’s defense capability development.

The X10D drone, manufactured by US firm Skydio, is certified under the Blue UAS framework, which vets technologies for government and military use. Compact yet powerful, it can be readied for deployment in under 40 seconds and reaches speeds of up to 45 miles (72 kilometers) per hour.

Equipped with modular sensors, the drone carries high-resolution imaging systems and a radiometric thermal camera for detailed surveillance. Its VT300-Z package features a telephoto lens for spotting threats at long range, while its Teledyne FLIR Boson+ sensor provides enhanced thermal detection, ensuring effective performance in diverse operational environments.
