Q-Net Security, headquartered in Missouri, has signed a contract with the US Air Force to improve the speed and security of battlefield communications in missions where reliable connectivity is crucial. The project builds on past collaborations focused on deploying airborne wide-area networks, advanced air-to-air links, and mobile, self-forming communication systems for combat units.

As part of the effort, the company will work on Tactical Key Management encryption solutions to test secure, real-time communications for the Air Force’s Agile Combat Employment strategy, which relies on rapid and flexible deployments.

Q-Net’s technologies include the Q-Box, a compact hardware device that encrypts traffic between trusted endpoints, and the Q-Net Policy Manager, a system that oversees large-scale Q-Box deployments. Built on a hardware-based “hardsec” foundation, these solutions are designed to resist cyber intrusions that commonly exploit software flaws.

The company’s cyber tools have previously been integrated into US defense networks to secure critical assets. According to CEO John Pyrovolakis, this new agreement highlights the Air Force’s determination to field advanced communications platforms that empower American warfighters with reliable and protected systems.
