Saab, in partnership with Clavister, has unveiled TactiGate XD, a new defense-grade cross-domain security system. The solution merges Saab’s TactiGuard with Clavister’s CyberArmour firewall, offering a reliable platform for secure, real-time communication across classified military networks.
The technology provides two-way data exchange between restricted domains, applying policy controls, encrypted channels, and advanced routing to safeguard information. It also monitors supply chain vulnerabilities, detects software exploits, and reduces risks caused by human error.
John Vestberg, Clavister’s CEO, emphasized that TactiGate XD addresses a crucial operational demand by enabling faster and safer decision-making in multi-domain environments. Designed to comply with NATO requirements, it enforces strict access rules while offering strong resistance to cyberattacks.
Additional features include on-device AI for anomaly detection, multi-layer encryption, and robust authentication mechanisms. By combining several functions into a compact device, the system cuts down energy and space requirements, making it ideal for use in resource-constrained platforms such as autonomous vehicles and advanced defense systems.
