The US Navy has selected Defense Unicorns to enter the next stage of operational testing under a Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic rapid capability initiative. The evaluation phase will move beyond controlled laboratory demonstrations and examine the software platform in real naval operating environments.Testing will focus on deployment efficiency, system reliability, scalability, and software management capabilities across naval vessels and shore-based facilities. Particular attention will be given to performance within disconnected and air-gapped networks where traditional internet-based solutions cannot operate.The evaluation follows successful prototype demonstrations of the Unified Defense Stack (UDS) under the Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services Next Generation program.UDS provides a standardized framework for software deployment through UDS Enterprise and enables fleet-wide infrastructure management through UDS Fleet.
