The $1.94 billion sale of long-range radars and air defense systems to Taiwan has been authorized by the US State Department. The National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile Systems (NASAMS) and the long-range radar systems AN/TPS-77 and AN/TPS-78 are among the authorized sales.The US Congress has not yet approved either of the sales.
