The UK Ministry of Defence has confirmed a 118-million-pound ($160-million) contract with MBDA UK for the acquisition of six Land Ceptor missile launchers. The procurement underlines Britain’s commitment to reinforcing its short-to-medium range air defense.

The contract, spanning three years, also covers key support assets, including 12 ammunition support vehicles, eight baggage vehicles, and eight threat evaluation and weapon assignment systems. These systems are designed to strengthen logistics and fire control capabilities.

As part of the Sky Sabre integrated air defense system, the Land Ceptor is capable of operating either in a standalone mode or as part of a networked command and control system. This allows seamless integration with wider defense architectures.

The launcher employs Common Anti-Air Modular Missiles (CAMM), developed by MBDA UK, to deliver fast-reacting protection for critical infrastructure and forces, ensuring resilience against modern aerial threats.
