Saudi Arabia has been granted permission by the US State Department to purchase an estimated $440 million worth of TOW missiles. The US-based company Raytheon is the supplier of 507 TOW 2A and 507 TOW 2B missiles that the Kingdom plans to purchase. By strengthening the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s homeland defense, the proposed sale will increase its capacity to counter present and emerging threats, according to the Defense Security Cooperation Agency.
