To provide its land troops with Altu? 8×8 armored combat vehicles, Turkey has partnered with local automaker BMC. The agreement calls for the ?zmir-based company to supply the military with 29 hulls of the system and related integrated logistical support services. As part of Ankara’s ongoing endeavor to improve the tactical vehicles of the armed services’ air and ground defense weapons, each platform in this contract is anticipated to be equipped with a 35-millimeter turret system.
