Poland’s Land Forces have introduced their K2 Black Panther main battle tanks during a multinational military exercise in Slovakia. The 9th Braniewo Armored Cavalry Brigade, one of the primary units operating the tanks, confirmed the deployment. Poland has acquired around 110 of these advanced tanks under a July 2022 modernization initiative aimed at strengthening its heavy ground combat capabilities. The first 10 tanks, along with 29 K9 Thunder howitzers, were delivered just three months after the agreement was signed with South Korean manufacturer Hyundai Rotem.
