With the addition of the KONGSBERG Medium Caliber Turret (MCT), BAE Systems unveiled an updated version of its Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle (AMPV). The U.S. Army’s AMPV tracked armored vehicle, which took the role of the long-serving M113 Armored Personnel Carrier (APC), is an example of how modernization efforts have changed throughout time to meet the ever-changing demands of contemporary battlefields. With its 30mm automatic gun, the recently announced version gives the U.S. Army more firepower and adaptability.
