RTX’s Raytheon division has been awarded contracts totaling $676 million (€626 million) to continue manufacturing the Tube-launched, Optically-tracked, Wireless-guided (TOW) weapon system for the U.S. Army, as announced on 23 October 2024. The contracts include two separate awards: an annual production contract for $430 million in fiscal year 2023 and an additional $246 million in 2024. Raytheon is actively enhancing the TOW missile with modernized fuzing and target detection capabilities, recently demonstrated in successful fly-to-buy lot acceptance tests of the latest TOW 2B variant.
