As part of the Balikatan 2025 military exercise, Lockheed Martin and the U.S. Army conducted a virtual joint integrated fires demonstration, successfully combining existing and new technologies in the Indo-Pacific region for the first time.
On May 5, 2025, the team completed a Maritime Strike mission where targeting data was rapidly shared between multiple systems to re-direct a simulated in-flight rocket toward a moving surface target. This capability represents a major step forward in enabling HIMARS to engage dynamic, mobile, and maritime threats.
Integrating previously disconnected offensive and defensive platforms allows for greater flexibility and responsiveness on the battlefield.
The exercise represents early progress toward creating a multi-domain, dual-role missile system.
Data-linked fires enable precision targeting of moving assets without relying on high-cost seeker technology.
This successful demonstration is part of Lockheed Martin’s broader mission to accelerate the development of integrated, cross-domain warfighting solutions that drive faster, more informed battlefield decisions.
