Lithuania’s Defence Materiel Agency (DMA), under the Ministry of National Defence, has signed a contract with Germany’s Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology, and In-Service Support (BAAINBw) for the acquisition of 44 Leopard 2A8 main battle tanks (MBTs) from KNDS Deutschland.Valued at EUR 950 million, the contract also includes a comprehensive package of spare parts and logistics support.
