LIG Nex1 has secured a contract from South Korea to build a next-generation counter-ballistic missile simulation platform, valued at 3.4 billion won ($24 million), with completion targeted by 2028.

Designed to reflect the complexities of modern missile threats, the system will enable realistic virtual exercises, guiding defense forces through every stage of response—from early threat detection to missile interception and damage analysis.

This development aligns with South Korea’s Three-Axis strategy to deter and respond to missile threats, particularly those posed by North Korea. In addition to boosting military preparedness, the simulation program is expected to elevate the technological edge of South Korea’s domestic defense industry.
