KNDS is carrying out the contract as a subcontractor for ARTEC, the original equipment manufacturer of the Boxer and a partnership between KNDS Germany and Rheinmetall Landsysteme._x000D_
Boxer variations_x000D_
The Boxer ambulance serves as the first connection in the medical rescue chain, providing vital pre-hospital treatment for casualties._x000D_
Depending on the severity of their wounds, it has a variable mission module that can hold a large number of casualties and provide intensive treatment when necessary._x000D_
The ambulance version offers the same degree of protection for its crew as the Boxer infantry variant, guaranteeing safety during operational deployments._x000D_
The purpose of the driver training vehicle is to prepare and accredit individuals to drive the Boxer._x000D_
During peacetime, the car is only used for training. When drivers switch to operational versions, there is no need for extra familiarization because its driving characteristics and total weight are very similar to those of other Boxer models.
