Rheinmetall has announced the delivery of an additional 14 Leopard 2A4 main battle tanks (MBTs) to the Czech Republic following the signing of a contract between Björn Bernhard, CEO of Rheinmetall Landsysteme GmbH, and Lubor Koudelka, Director General of the Armaments and Acquisition Division at the Czech Ministry of Defence.Valued at EUR 161 million, the agreement includes 14 refurbished Leopard 2A4 MBTs, set for delivery by the end of 2026. The deal also features a comprehensive package covering ammunition and logistics support. The tanks, sourced primarily from former Swiss inventories, will be upgraded to meet Czech-specific requirements as part of the initiative.
