Orders worth 269 armored vehicles have been awarded to KNDS France by Belgium and Luxembourg under the multinational CaMo land-systems program.

CaMo is a bilateral French-Belgian initiative aimed at aligning equipment, doctrine, and logistics across partner armies, while contributing to France’s SCORPION modernization drive.

Belgium: Griffon and Serval

Belgium’s share of the program includes 92 Griffon APCs and 123 Serval light armored vehicles, with procurement handled by France’s defense acquisition agency on Brussels’ behalf.

According to KNDS, participation in the SCORPION framework will strengthen Belgium’s ability to conduct integrated operations with NATO forces and meet its alliance obligations.

Luxembourg: Griffon and Jaguar

Luxembourg will acquire 16 Griffon vehicles and 38 Jaguar reconnaissance platforms through Belgium’s CaMo structure, supported by NATO’s Defence Planning Process.

The vehicles will equip the forthcoming Guide-Chasseurs Battalion, a joint Belgian-Luxembourg reconnaissance unit scheduled to be fully operational by 2030.

Industrial Cooperation

Production will be shared between KNDS, Arquus, and Thales for the Griffon and Jaguar, while Texelis will support Serval manufacturing.

Assembly will primarily occur at MOL CY’s Belgian facility in Staden, with FN Herstal supplying remote weapon stations. Serval vehicles will see a higher level of assembly localized in Belgium, and the contracts include spares and maintenance to support long-term operations.
