BAE Systems Hägglunds and Iveco Defence Vehicles have joined forces to push forward the BvS10 armored vehicle program in Italy. A memorandum of understanding recently signed between the companies sets the framework for customizing and locally producing the vehicle to fit Italy’s defense specifications.
The initiative combines technological expertise and industrial experience from both firms, gained through prior joint projects in the defense sector. This approach also aligns with Italy’s ambition to boost indigenous defense manufacturing. The BvS10, already used by nations such as France, Ukraine, and Germany, provides high maneuverability in extreme conditions, making it an ideal choice for a range of military operations.
