The first three BvS10 armored all-terrain vehicles have been delivered by BAE Systems to Sweden, Germany, and the UK under their joint procurement initiative. These deliveries represent the start of a broader acquisition plan totaling 423 vehicles, with final handovers expected to conclude by 2028.

According to the framework deal, Sweden is slated to receive 223 units, Germany 140, and the UK 60. Germany has since expanded its order with an additional request for 227 vehicles. The BvS10 fleet being procured includes the latest variant, purpose-built for extreme mobility across diverse terrains such as frozen landscapes, sandy deserts, muddy swamps, rocky terrain, and mountainous areas.

Beyond its land-based mobility, the BvS10 is amphibious, capable of moving through coastal waters and flooded areas. This makes it well-suited for both troop deployment and logistical resupply in difficult operating environments. The modular articulated design enables the vehicle to be adapted into multiple versions, including troop carriers, command and control units, medical evacuation platforms, repair and recovery vehicles, logistics support units, reconnaissance assets, and weapons carriers fitted with mortars.

The BvS10 has already proven itself across Europe, with Austria, France, the Netherlands, Sweden, and the UK among its active operators. Sweden further reinforced its reliance on the platform by ordering Saab’s Mobile Short-Range Air Defence system in 2024 to be mounted on the BvS10 chassis, highlighting the vehicle’s adaptability to future combat needs.
