Armenia, which is now undergoing a comprehensive military upgrade through arms acquisitions, may soon get an unspecified quantity of Greek S-300 air defense systems. Greek military forces are “at an advanced stage” of replacing their short-range Tor-M1, Osa-AK, and S-300PMU1 surface-to-air air defense system with more sophisticated Western equipment. The decision was brought about by difficulties in maintaining weaponry of Russian origin because of the lack of replacement parts brought on by international sanctions.
