Uvision Group has announced the full acquisition of SpearUAV, an Israeli defense firm known for its innovative AI-driven, encapsulated loitering systems. The move significantly enhances Uvision’s product range and reinforces its standing in the global loitering munitions and autonomous weapons market.

SpearUAV’s flagship Viper loitering system features compact drones deployed from sealed canisters engineered for rapid launch and multi-mission flexibility. The Viper family offers reconnaissance, strike, EW, and counter-drone capabilities and is optimized for battalion-level and small-unit operations from armored platforms, naval vessels, and underwater assets.

Uvision, meanwhile, manufactures the HERO series of loitering munitions, widely used for precision surveillance and strike missions at higher command levels. By integrating the Viper and HERO lines, Uvision aims to create a unified suite of interoperable systems designed to meet mission needs ranging from localized tactical engagements to broader operational campaigns.

The acquisition follows Uvision’s earlier strategic investment in SpearUAV and reflects deepening cooperation between the two companies. Uvision stated that the move also supports its ongoing expansion into a new multi-purpose facility equipped for production, research, development, and testing of advanced loitering technologies.
