The Pentagon has placed a new order with L3Harris for its modular VAMPIRE anti-drone systems to support European defense efforts.
The contract follows a 2023 purchase of 14 units for Ukraine under a $40-million agreement aimed at enhancing Kyiv’s counter-drone capabilities.
While the current order’s financial scope and targeted nations are undisclosed, the development points to a growing US initiative to equip more European allies with cutting-edge surveillance and protection tools.
