BAE Systems will overhaul the Navy’s AN/APX-123A(V) IFF systems under a $30 million contract.
The advanced transponder will be rolled out across helicopters, ships, unmanned vehicles, and aircraft.
It is designed to support joint force operations in identification, command guidance, and air safety.
Work will be completed at BAE facilities in New York and Texas, with the program concluding in 2027.
