The US Navy is boosting its ship defense systems by expanding the use of the SEWIP Block 3 electronic warfare technology. Built by Northrop Grumman, this system can detect enemy missiles and stop them by jamming their signals before they hit. The latest upgrade even allows it to be installed on aircraft carriers. A smaller version called SOEA is also being developed so more ships can use similar protection. Alongside this, new jamming technologies are being created to block enemy radar and communications more effectively. These upgrades help the Navy stay safe in modern warfare, where electronic attacks are becoming more common. In simple terms, it’s like giving ships a powerful invisible shield against incoming threats.
