The US Marine Corps has received a MQ-9A Reaper Block 5 extended range (ER) unmanned aircraft system from General Atomics Aeronautical Systems. The delivery will improve the operational endurance and range of the US Marine Corps.Its endurance can be increased to almost 30 hours from the previous 27 hours by field-retrofitting it with features like wing-borne fuel pods and stronger landing gear.
