The US military has awarded FN America a $9.9-million contract to produce more M240B medium machine guns for both the Army and Navy. Built at the company’s South Carolina manufacturing plant, the weapon remains a key infantry support system. Designed for durability and accuracy, the 7.62-mm machine gun features a cold hammer-forged barrel and mounting rails for optics. FN America has supplied millions of firearms to US forces since the late 1970s.
