The US Army has selected CAE Defense & Security to lead a substantial training support program for rotary-wing aviators, covering a growing cohort of 900 participants. The contract encompasses end-to-end instruction on a range of helicopters, with a focus on hands-on flying, technical evaluation, and mission adaptation for both American personnel and international trainees.

To meet surging demand, the program will dramatically increase the pool of certified instructors, especially for the widely operated UH-60 Black Hawk platform, and extend overall student support for advanced aircraft such as the Chinook and Apache. Training will comprehensively address piloting, systems operation, and maintenance evaluation, forming a pipeline of qualified aircrew servicing US and allied military needs.

CAE’s responsibilities include oversight of all deliverables, from classroom and simulator sessions to flight instruction, in partnership with leading Army aviation training institutions. Initial contract execution is assured for one year, with multi-year extensions possible, supporting sustained readiness and operational excellence in rotary-wing flight operations.
